The HiTi Card Printers utilize HiTi's Dye Diffusion Thermal Transfer Technology (D2T2) employing a color ribbon coated with special yellow, magenta, cyan, black dyes and a layer of protective over coating (YMCKO) that are thermally transferred in sequence to the card in 256 levels and with graduation for a total of 16.77 million colors in continuous tone.
